Pioneer Memorial Church was built for worship — but it’s held up by things no one ever sees. The HVAC pipes running beneath our sanctuary and basement are original to the building. After decades of faithful, invisible service, they’ve reached the end of their life. Our parking lot, worn down by years of Michigan winters, needs to be repaved.
“Welcoming All Seasons” is our campaign to renew both — so Pioneer can keep welcoming this community through every season, for decades more.
Our Goal
To accomplish this project, our goal is to fundraise $925,000 — the real cost of a lasting fix, not a temporary one. It’s an investment that pays off in decades of reliability, so this is work we won’t have to repeat, or worry about, for a long time to come.

Pioneer Parking Lot Closed this Sabbath — July 25, 2026
Greetings, Pioneer Church Family:
There is good news, and there is inconvenient news. The good news is that our parking lot will be finished on time and in fine fashion. Many thanks again to all of you who have contributed financially and in other ways to make this blessed reality possible!
The inconvenient news is that, in our planning, we did not factor in the curing time necessary for the new parking lot to firm up enough to support parked vehicles. If we were to park our cars on its this Sabbath, it would leave pits and valleys in the asphalt–not the result we are looking for.
Consequently, we ask that you utilize the surrounding parking lots, such as those at the Andreasen Wellness Center, Lamson Hall, and the Seminary building, rather than parking in our main parking lot. Our Parking Lot Ministry Team will be regularly passing through those lots with their golf carts to assist anyone who needs help getting to the church building.
Our apologies for the inconvenience! We look forward to soon being able to use our brand-new parking lot.
