Dear Pioneers,
This past week we let you know about the first stage in helping those affected by the flood. We praise God that so many of you got involved. You donated needed items and volunteered at Neighbor to Neighbor. Others of you went directly to the shelter and found ways to make a difference. And the work continues.
But now the clean-up phase begins. Here's a quick rundown of the ways you can continue to be involved:
- Help clean-up at River Springs Estates on Sunday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Meet at the Berrien Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant at 9:00 AM (9415 M-139 Berrien Springs, MI 49103).All volunteers must preregister at www.uwsm.org/volunteer. There will be no onsite registration. Rubber gloves and masks will be provided. Salvation Army and the American Red Cross will provide lunch and water.
For more information contact Mike Hildebrand at supervisor@oronokotownship.org.
- Volunteer at Neighbor to Neighbor
Volunteers are still needed to process donations and to assist those affected by the flood. There are four shifts.-Sunday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
-Sunday: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
-Monday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
-Monday: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PMTo volunteer for a shift, please call Neighbor to Neighbor at 269-471-7411.
We hope to see you at one of the different opportunities to make a difference in our community over the next few days.
