Be Prepared

We routinely conduct fire drills to ensure the safety of our congregations. Holding fire drills helps familiarize you with the sound of the alarm system and allows you to practice evacuation procedures, so in the event of a real fire, you have rehearsed the procedures and are aware of what to do.

In the event the fire alarm sounds during Sabbath worship, please observe the following procedure:

  1. Stay Calm
  2. Proceed to the nearest, safe exit. Rendezvous at the flag pole between Pioneer and James White Library. During Sabbath School, children will be led to Lamson Hall and the Campus Center.
  3. Follow any instructions provided by the Safety Officer.

ONLY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAN "CLEAR THE BUILDING" - NO-ONE SHOULD RE-ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL THE "ALL CLEAR" IS GIVEN.

Child Safety

In a seemingly increasingly aggressive and volatile culture we don't want to take our sense of security for granted, especially when it comes to our most vulnerable members: our children. The Children's Ministry team has gone to great lengths to establish systems that ensure more accurate head counts and accountability. It continues to be a collaboration of other ministries, leaders, and parents or guardians, to establish best practices that will help make Pioneer a more organized and secure space for children.
