Horn Lectureship Series Presents 'Digging Up Khirbet Safra: A Town from the Period of the Judges, Part II'

The Institute of Archaeology at Andrews University returned to Khirbet Safra for the 2021 summer season. An Israelite town dating from the period of the Judges to the reign of David, Khirbet Safra has an interesting history of occupation and abandonment. This lecture will examine the recent discoveries, including the ancient gateway and fortification system, the newly opened Field E, and the ancient identity of the site and the people who lived there.

This event is free and open to the public on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 7:00 PM. Andrews Undergraduate Co-Curricular credit will be offered.

Location:
Seminary Chapel in Seminary Hall at Andrews University
