The Senior Wind Gold Medalist ensemble of the largest chamber music competition in the nation are making a stop on their Winner’s Tour across the Midwest. Mixed Media, a sax quartet from Georgia, is described as warm, thoughtful, and of generous spirits in addition to being excellent musicians. The quartet formed as students at the University of Georgia, studying with Dr. Connie Frigo. Mixed Media aims to challenge and delight audiences with new interpretations of contemporary saxophone quartet music. The quartet will perform a stylistically diverse program of works by Eugène Bozza, Viet Cuong, Jean Françaix, George Frideric Handel, Jennifer Higdon, Takuma Itoh, Fabien Lévy, Matthew Levy, and David Salleras Quintana.
