Kick off your holiday season with some great festive music from the Andrews University Wind Symphony! Performing under the direction of Byron Graves, the Wind Symphony will present “On Holiday” at 8:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, in the Howard Performing Arts Center.
The program will be a musical tour to various destinations you might visit while on holiday, be that the Isle of Man (Mannin Veen by Haydn Wood), France or Cuba (excerpts from Gershwin’s American in Paris and Cuban Overture), Puerto Rico (So Wondrous Bright by Carol Chambers) or just going to the local fair (The Purple Carnival by Harry Alford). Then we will continue the holiday whirlwind right into the Christmas season, with favorites like The Polar Express, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and many other familiar carols. You won’t want to miss it!
