How can we be honest with the egregious racism of the past—and at times, of the present—and also find ways to move forward with appropriate cooperation, together?

On Sabbath March 9 we were joined virtually by Calvin B. Rock, Ph.D., former president of Oakwood University and retired general vice president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He is the author of the 2018 book "Protest and Progress" (published by Andrews University Press), which is considered to be the definitive history of race relations in the Adventist Church. Dr. Rock’s overall theme for the day will be, “Seeking a Path Forward.”
