Equipping Missionaries to Cuba

After 60 years of strict communist rule, the doors have opened to equip Cuban pastors and Bible workers with crucial resources like technology, transportation, and ministry materials. Help today by adopting a project like a computer, a smartphone, a bike, or tablet. We are also conducting a special musical instrument drive. Bring these items to the church and visit www.CareforCuba.org to donate online. Your donation of any amount is 100% tax deductible. For more info email mdivstudytour@andrews.edu.

Academy Day

All eighth-grade students are invited to attend and see the exciting programs Andrews Academy offers. You will experience one day with us. While there you will worship together, go to a number of classes with Academy students, and participate in a number of games and activities. Lunch will be served; T-shirts and prizes will be given. Registration begins at 7:30 AM, the full day of activities will begin at 8:00 AM and will conclude by 3:15 PM. You are invited to stay for the optional dodgeball tournament and pizza supper to follow. Call (269)471-3138 with any questions you may have.

Catch A Wave!

A friend told me years ago: "Our business [as a church] is to find the wave the Holy Spirit is
creating . . . and then to surf it." You don't even have to be a surfer to catch that metaphor. Because without a wave nobody surfs!

Epigenetics and Lifestyle

Dr. John Kelly, MD, MPH, will make a presentation on “Epigenetics and Lifestyle: Your Genes Are Not Your Destiny” at the St. Joseph Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1201 Maiden Lane, St. Joseph. Dr. Kelly was founding President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, serves as an adjunct faculty at two medical schools, and is the new President of Oak Haven in Pullman, MI. There is no admission fee for his presentation, which is sponsored by Healthy Together Friends in partnership with the St. Joseph Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Pine Ridge Center Visitation

We will be spending time and handing out flowers to the people at the Pine Ridge Center. This is a great opportunity to interact with the people who live in our local community. We will be leaving from the PMC Church parking lot, and transportation will be provided. Please contact Alexander Hales at alexanderh@andrews.edu for further information.

General Conference Forum

The AU Campus are invited to join Ted Wilson, General Conference president, and some of his colleagues on Sabbath, March 2, from 3:00-5:00 PM in the PMC Sanctuary. During that time, Elder Wilson will share some exciting updates on mission and talk with us about unity in the church. The last 40 minutes will be for questions and answers. So that we can ensure he and his team have a chance to be prepared and time to be responsive to the majority of questions, we are asking for questions to be submitted in advance.

When History Is His Story

Some have attributed to Confucius the proverb, "A picture is worth a thousand words." So let's share a 5000-word history (five pictures) that ends with the birth of the Pioneer Memorial Church exactly sixty years ago right now—captured in five black and white photographs, mounted on the back wall of our sanctuary, each with a gold plaque of explanation—all of them a gift of the Emmanuel Missionary College Class of 1953. Take a look:
