BELONG Ministries Adopt-a-Student

Winter is coming and for many of our students these are the hardest months to get through without their families. You can help create a home away from home by joining our Belong Ministries Adopt-a-Student program. You'll build meaningful connections by hosting the student for a home cooked meal, surprising them with their favorite treats, and reminding them that they've been prayed for. The time commitment is at your discretion.

Tis the season… to be a Grinch?

I admit, I can be a little bit like the Grinch during the Christmas season. Ok, a lot like the Grinch. While I haven’t gone as far as to take down Christmas decorations, I’ve never been known to celebrate as the decorations go up. It’s a mixture of feelings between “too soon” and “oh, here it comes, again.” I don’t know whether this comes from my love for the Thanksgiving season or the trappings of the seemingly ever increasing hustle bustle that the Christmas season represents. The joy of the holiday season often seems to be replaced with stress and a hint of dread.

Grow Groups Leaders Wanted

Our next Season of Grow Groups is coming soon. If you have an idea for a small group we'd love to support your ministry. We are looking for activity, study, food, and fun groups. These are great ways to experience church outside of our church service If you are interested please fill out the form at pmchurch.org/ministries/growgroups/register.

Soup for Students

Pioneer Young Adult Ministries is hosting Soup for Students. All Collegiate-aged individuals are welcomed to attend and enjoy soup and a touch of home while studying for finals.  Volunteers can contact Prescott Khair (prescott.khair@pmchurch.org) or text SOUP to 269-281-2345.

Season of Thankfulness

We know that God loves a cheerful giver. Pioneer, you gave abundantly this year. The Pathfinders collected the generous donations of food and separated them into one hundred and forty boxes. We had piles of canned fruit, green beans, pasta, stuffing, applesauce, pumpkin pie filling, and many other delicious foods to gift to those in need. On Sabbath, November 19, over one hundred of our Pathfinders, leaders and parents separated and carefully packed each of these boxes. Then they were loaded into over fifty Pioneer church member's vehicles to be delivered.

You Visited Me

Jesus said, "When I was in prison, you visited Me."  If you have a heart for reaching out to a lonely person in need of encouragement while incarcerated, have I got a person for you!  Please contact Sue Wein (whitewsu@andrews.edu).  I will give you the details and help you in connecting with her.

Caring Hearts Pot Luck for Widows/Widowers

Sunday, December 3, the Berrien Springs Village Church will be hosting a potluck for all widows and widowers in the church fellowship hall at 1:30 PM. Bring a favorite vegetarian dish to pass and come relax among old and new friends. The DVD “Surviving the Holidays” will be shown.

Bring a Toy, Spread some joy.

In just a few weeks, on December 9, we will be having our annual Children’s Celebration of Christmas. This is the worship service every year where we bring a new unwrapped toy for a child up to age 16. These gifts will go to families in our community who are not able to purchase gifts. This is yet another way that Pioneer can be Love on the Move!
