How to Raise a Decision Maker

Each and every day decisions are made. In fact, life is a series of choices--some big, but mostly small choices that make up everything from the foods that we eat to the clothes that we wear. Some of the decisions along the way, however, are significantly larger. Some of the biggest decisions that we have in life are: who to marry, what career to pursue, where to live and choosing whether or not to believe in God. As parents it is our goal to raise children who make good decisions.

Sponsor RMES students for the Bike-a-thon

The RMES Home & School Team is hosting a bike-a-thon / walk-a-thon fundraiser for Ruth Murdoch Elementary School on Sunday, October 22, 2023. 90% of the proceeds will go towards improvements for the kindergarten sand play area, a gaga ball pit, and the carpet upgrade project and 10% will be used for future Home & School events. Last year students raised over $8,700 and we hope this year even more funds will be raised. Some students at RMES may not know many people in our community and will be looking for sponsors.

Romanian Organist Dr. Geanina Sălăgean Concert

Organist Geanina Sălăgean (Bucharest, Romania) will have an organ concert in the PMC sanctuary on Sabbath afternoon, September 16, from 4 to 5 PM. Dr. Sălăgean is a teacher at a national arts college in Bucharest. Her concert will include a wide range of listening experiences across centuries and countries. The organ will be featured with delicacy and power, from pensive sounds to joyous ones. Admission will be free.

Love on the Move - GH4K

God's Hands 4 Kids is a "Love on the Move" ministry. We are an outgrowth of a Grow Group that first met 10 years ago. We have a close relationship with Berrien County DHHS and other agencies. Our Facebook group has a following of over 2,200. You are invited to serve with us. Maybe childcare or food prep or serving or set up for monthly support group, deliveries, clothes sorting or more. Horn Archaeological Museum Volunteer Positions

The Siegfried H. Horn Archaeological Museum is looking for volunteers to help open the museum to the community from 3-5 PM on Sabbath afternoons. If you are interested in Biblical history and how archaeology supports the Scripture, and you would like to share that with others, join our museum docent team. Hoof in Mouth Disease

Have you ever said something that later you kicked yourself all over about saying? The interesting thing about words is once they’re out, they’re out; we can’t get them back. Of course, we can always apologize, but how much better if we thought things through before we let them out, right? You could almost say we’ve got a problem with what cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, deer (& probably all ruminants) get: hoof and mouth disease. For people it used to be called “putting your foot IN your mouth.”
