  • When God Speaks . . .
    • Genesis 1:3—“And God , ‘ there be light,’ and there light.”
      • There is no more powerful in all the universe than the that God speaks.
      • Whatever He says, —i.e., when God speaks a ,  that spoken creates the reality it describes.
    • John 1:1, 3, 14—“In the beginning was the , and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. . . . And the   became flesh and dwelled among us.”
    • Psalm 33:6,9—“By the   of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the   of His mouth. . . . For He , and it came to be; He , and it stood firm.”
      • Titus 1:2—“God cannot .”
    • Isaiah 55:11—“So is My that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will what I desire and the purpose for which I sent it.”
      • Isaiah 45:23 Message—“Every word out of My mouth what it says.
    • 2 Timothy 3:16—“All Scripture is -   and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
    • John 6:63—“The   I have spoken to you, they are full of the Spirit [Breath of God] and life.”
  • When We Believe . . .
    • Hebrews 11:1, 6—“Now   is confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see. . . . And without   it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He those who earnestly seek Him.”
      • Mark 9:23—“‘“If you can”?’ said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for the one who .’ Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief.’”
      • Matthew 8:13—“‘Go!   it be done just as you believed it would be.’”
    • Genesis 15:6/Romans 4:3—“Abraham   God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
    • Camron Schofield: “God said to Abraham, ‘Look at the stars, tell the number of them and so shall thy seed be.’ And Abraham believed God. He said, ‘Amen.’ What did God say? He said, ‘You are right—you are righteous’! Are you willing to believe that is how Abraham became righteous? But does that sound too easy? . . . When God says something, is He right? He’s right! And if I say that that is so, that what He has said is so, then am I not right as well? If God is right when He says it and I say, ‘Amen, let it be, so be it,’ then am I not right? Am I then not as right as He is? Because I am merely assenting to what He has said. And if He is right and I say the same thing that He has said, can He say I am wrong?” “Whatever it is, no matter what it is, whatever He says, if we will believe it, God will say, ‘You are right. You—are—right.’” (Heralding the Loud Cry 80-81)
  • A personal testimony . . .
    • The God who said “Let there be light,” is the same God who says:
      • John 14:27—“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be .”
      • Steps to Christ: “If you believe the promise—God supplies the . It is so if you it. Do not wait to feel you are made whole, but say, ‘I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.” (51)
      • Philippians 2:5—“Let this be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”
    • 2 Corinthians 4:6—“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of .”
