The Advent of Economic Embargoes

The conflagration they are calling the Russia-Ukraine war (now five weeks long) has introduced to global humanity the power of a united economic embargo. Simply put—what we are witnessing is the strategic punitive enforcement of no-buy/no-sell prohibitions slapped on a nation-state and its leaders, deemed by global powers to be out of harmony with the group-think of the enforcing alliance(s). 

For the sake of argument consider for a moment these economic embargoes levied against Russia and some of its leaders.

Sign Me Up! This Spring

And so to celebrate the good-news, upside of life this springtime comes a new worship series—“Sign Me Up!”—a fresh invitation to find new life in volunteer service.

If you have gently used children's books lying around, we invite you to donate the books to Ruth Murdoch Elementary. Books must be consistent with Christian values and can be delivered to the RMES office between March 28 and April 1 during business hours.

Horn Lectureship Series Presents 'Digging Up Khirbet Safra: A Town from the Period of the Judges, Part II'

The Institute of Archaeology at Andrews University returned to Khirbet Safra for the 2021 summer season. An Israelite town dating from the period of the Judges to the reign of David, Khirbet Safra has an interesting history of occupation and abandonment. This lecture will examine the recent discoveries, including the ancient gateway and fortification system, the newly opened Field E, and the ancient identity of the site and the people who lived there. 

Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Building Project

We’re looking for volunteers who are interested in delivering and assembling beds in homes on April 10, 2022. Our plan is to build beds in the morning, starting at 9 AM, and at 11 AM we’ll begin delivering and assembling them in recipients’ homes.

World Changer Bootcamp

Have you ever wondered how to turn everyday encounters into life-changing conversations? To prepare, we need: (1) a sense of God’s presence in our lives, (2) a deep understanding of people and the perspectives that shape their lives.

Dr. Erich Baumgartner and mission entrepreneur, Thom Wolf, are piloting a group to equip you to be World Changers wherever God has planted you. Sessions will be video-taped. This group is open to 12 participants to participate in a 3-part series that will be taught in March, April, and May. Exact times TBD with the participants.
