Summer Grow Group Leaders Wanted!

Summer is almost here, and with it comes a great opportunity to lead a Grow Group! The summer session is a fantastic time to take advantage of the best weather Michigan has to offer by leading outdoor activity groups, or taking any type of group outside for some fresh air and sunshine!

Traffic Volunteers Needed

We are in need for additional volunteers for Pioneer's Traffic Ministry. The weather outside is getting warmer and this would be a great opportunity for you to show your kindness, caring, and smiles to everyone who enters our church doors for Sabbath worship. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Darryl at legoh@andrews.edu or text 732-379-1300. Thank you.

Remembering Mary Ross

A Memorial Service will be held for long-time Pioneer Member Mary (Marguerite) Ross. It will be held in the Pioneer Sanctuary on April 30, 2022, beginning at 4:00 PM. We pray that the comfort of Jesus and the promise of His resurrection will surround the Ross family throughout this very difficult time. "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

An Infinity of Difference

Have you heard about the brouhaha north of the border recently? Turns out Nissan Canada, the Japanese automaker, decided to tout the sound-masking properties of their new, exquisite luxury model the Infiniti.

Fellowship Dinner Postponed

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Pioneer Fellowship Dinner will not resume on April 23, 2022, as planned. Members, please lookout for an email to let you know when your group will be invited to the potluck meal. Please continue to pray, plan, and prepare for this time of fellowship.

“Immediate Forgiveness” for 40,000?

What’s not to like about this “headline” yesterday from the U.S. Department of Education? In an April 19 tweet the department “announced steps to address historical federal student loan program failures, helping at least 3.6 million federal student loan borrowers move closer to forgiveness—including immediate forgiveness for ~40,000 borrowers” (go.usa.gov/xuZXM).

Did you catch that? “Immediate forgiveness for ~40,000 borrowers.”

AU Wind Symphony Spring Concert

The final concert of the 2021-2022 Andrews University Wind Symphony season features a number of classic works and transcriptions for band, including selections from Lincolnshire Posy and Pictures at an Exhibition. The title piece, Tempered Steel, is a tribute to all who have endured the pandemic of the past two years. The program will feature student conducting appearances by Cyril Punay and Jason Marquez, and a horn solo performed by our horn section leader, Erin Penrod. There will also be a musical tribute to the people of Ukraine.
