AU Wind Symphony Spring Concert

The final concert of the 2021-2022 Andrews University Wind Symphony season features a number of classic works and transcriptions for band, including selections from Lincolnshire Posy and Pictures at an Exhibition. The title piece, Tempered Steel, is a tribute to all who have endured the pandemic of the past two years. The program will feature student conducting appearances by Cyril Punay and Jason Marquez, and a horn solo performed by our horn section leader, Erin Penrod. There will also be a musical tribute to the people of Ukraine.

Hope Channel Presents Hope Under Siege

As you're likely aware of the situation in Ukraine, many of our brothers and sisters have been affected by the destruction. It has left Adventists wondering, where is our church in this? Hope Channel International, Inc. is working to answer those questions. Through a series of short films titled "Hope Under Siege," they highlight Hope and ADRA's combined humanitarian efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus amidst "wars and rumors of wars."

This Easter Whose Side Is He On?

In a world already irreparably fractured, Russia’s attacks on Ukraine over the last one month and three weeks—chronicled across the earth through live video feeds—have diminished any hope of global healing.

And yet many, who regard the pope as the most widely recognized religious leader in the world, harbor the hope Pope Francis might even yet this Easter spark a miracle of peace for the war in Ukraine, or at least a ceasefire.

Grow Groups in the News

One of our Wednesday evening Grow Groups coordinated a project to raise money for the new Oronoko Township trails and park being built behind the Public Safety building. The group raised $1,200 and was featured in the Journal Era, a local newspaper. In the same issue there is another story about a new sidewalk the group supported at the Berrien Springs Public Library – their project last semester. Pioneer is grateful to be able to support our community through Grow Groups. Interested in leading or joining a Grow Group, visit pmchurch.org/grow to learn more.

Foster Families Needed

Is your mission to God's calling, to open your home to a foster teen or a sibling group or maybe a medically fragile child or baby? Berrien County has a need for foster families - especially for these specific groups. Is this your "here am I send me" calling? For more information contact God's Hands 4 Kids at GH4K.org
